Obituary
Marion Williamson, Sr.
Robert Marion Williamson, Sr., 69, of Lexington died Monday, September 22 at Methodist Hospital of Middle Mississippi of a heart attack.

Funeral services were held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 24 at First Baptist Church in Lexington. Officiating ministers were Rev. Bobby Williamson and Rev. Wayne Hudson. Burial was in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Lexington with Southern Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

A native of Munford, Tennessee, he was a retired postal worker, an Army Air Corps veteran, and a member of First Baptist Church in Lexington. He was a deacon and RA leader at First Baptist Church. Mr. Williamson lived in Memphis for 13 years where he worked as a welder.

Survivors include: wife, Janie Mayo Williamson of Lexington; sons, Rev. Bobby Williamson of Brandon, and Phil Williamson of Lexington; daughter, Susan Williamson of Jackson; brother, O. B. Williamson of Memphis, Tennessee; and six grandchildren.

Serving as active pallbearers were Holt Smith, Doug Aldridge, Billy Ellis, Fred Powers, Frank Rogers, and Dale Powers.

Honorary pallbearers were Clarence Minyard, R. S. Richmond, Rueben Netherland, John W. O’Kelly, Mack Grantham, Teat Rodgers, Gilbert Bradley, Dr. John Downer, and Woodson Earle, Floyd Malone, Irby Tate, J. W. Andrews and deacons of First Baptist Church.
