W. F. Scott

W. F. Scott of Lexington died of heart failure on Friday, December 25 at Methodist Hospital of Middle Mississippi in Lexington. He was 84.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 26 at Southern Funeral Home Chapel in Lexington. Dr. Michael O'Brien offciated. Interment was in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Lexington.

A native of Winston County, Mr. Scott and his wife Claudia owned and operated Orchid Beauty Shop in Lexington for over fifty years. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Lexington where he served as a deacon for over 20 years. He was a World War II Army Veteran.

Survivors include: his wife, Claudia Gelston Scott of Lexington; one brother J. C. Scott of Macon; and two nieces.

Active pallbearers were Billy Zeigler, Calvin Moore, Mike Lammons, Mack Grantham, Reuben Netherland and Jack Farmer.
