Obituary
Norman "Chick" Weathersby, Jr.

Norman "Chick" Weathersby, Jr. of Lexington died peaceful in his home on Saturday, October 17, 2015. He was 79, born in Lexington on October 10, 1936 and is survived by his son, Norman (Ann), daughter, Sharon, and two grandchildren, Courtney and Blake Gibson. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Norman and Jean Weathersby, and brother, John Weathersby. He was a lifelong Lexington resident and business owner of Weathersby Chevrolet-Buick Co.

Chick was a graduate of Lexington High School where he lettered in football and baseball. In 1958 he graduated from Ole Miss with a degree in Business Administration and was a member of the Phi-Delta Theta fraternity. After college Chick entered the United States Air Force where he was stationed in Mendenhall, England and Columbus, MS. Chick returned to Lexington in 1962 to work with his father at Weathersby Chevrolet-Buick Co. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman and enjoyed photography, cooking, aviation, and scuba diving.

Funeral services are scheduled on Sunday, October 25th, at the First Presbyterian Church in Lexington. Visitation is from 1 to 3 at the Fellowship Hall, funeral service at 3 in the sanctuary, followed by interment in Odd Fellows Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Don Barrett, Pat Barrett, Jr., Burley Barton, Charles Campbell, Frank Eakin, Jr., Bootsy Hooker, Ed Wilburn Hooker, and Will Lewis.
